The Nut Remains The Same

Bob Pressley’s writing career has developed another leak. A sabotaged collaboration, literary legal trouble, an unpredictable AI assistant, and a rebellious squirrel turn creative ambition into comic disorder. The Nut Remains the Same follows an author whose stories keep escaping his attempts to manage them.
Description
Bob Pressley wants to write. His collaborators, software, plumbing, and fictional world have other plans.
A joint project becomes a battleground, fanfiction leads to a courtroom tribunal, and an AI assistant takes an unexpected interest in binary sonnets. Harold the quiet plumber handles the problems he can reach, while Marla edits with a confidence reality itself may not survive. A squirrel’s literary rebellion adds another complication to Bob’s increasingly crowded creative life.
The Nut Remains the Same is metafictional comedy for readers familiar with unruly manuscripts, troublesome feedback, and the peculiar pressures of independent publishing. Its absurd mishaps explore the vulnerable work of creating with other people—and the difficulty of keeping control when even the story wants a say.
