Description
A cartoon may look effortless, but the line on the page carries a history of attempts. Sketches of Life explores the creative process from a weekend cartoonist’s perspective, sharing the pleasures and difficulties of making art.
Personal reflections sit alongside insights into drawing, expression, and developing an artistic voice. The book makes room for the uncertain middle of a project as well as the satisfaction of creating a character or image that works. Humor becomes part of both the art and the learning.
Aspiring cartoonists and experienced creators will find an approachable companion to their own experiments. This is a celebration of attention, persistence, and the possibilities waiting in the next sketch.
